Balotelli in bust-up with Kompany

Mario Balotelli has reportedly been involved in another training ground bust-up, this time with Vincent Kompany before the Premier League game with West Ham United.

The Manchester City striker has courted controversy ever since joining from Inter Milan last summer, and has already had an altercation with Jerome Boateng and a brush with Carlos Tevez.

The Daily Mail claims that this time Balotelli reacted angrily to a challenge fromm Kompany and James Milner and Yaya Toure had to intervene.

It comes after Roberto Mancini insisted Balotelli would be an important member of the City squad next season.

He told the Daily Mirror: "Mario can become a hero at this club like Carlos has. He is young, but if he plays like he did against Blackburn, when he played football for the good of the team, then he can be fantastic.

"Mario likes to score goals. But maybe he is learning that it is not important for him to score in every single game if he plays well for the team. If he continues like he did at Blackburn then the goals will arrive for him.

"But the important thing is to play for the team like he did at Blackburn and like he did in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United. I thought his performance at Blackburn was his best since he came here. But someone like Tevez has played in the Premier League for five years.

"This is Mario's first. Players who come to this country need to understand the league before they start playing well. Next year will be better for Mario and also for Edin Dzeko."
